The Collective was founded by Taiwo Adeleye. He is a Certified Movement Analyst/Therapist, Registered Somatic Movement Therapist / Dance Educator / Movement Educator and Dancer.
Born in Nigeria, Taiwo immigrated to the U.S. to pursue his dreams as a professional dancer after studying dance in his native country. As a child of a single mother, scholarships provided Taiwo with a pathway to success in his field.
He founded the Michigan Movement & Dance Collective to pay his own success forward by helping other aspiring dancers with limited means pursue their dreams in the State and beyond.
